How many times have you wanted to check labor hours for select lines of an estimate or pull a material list for a specific area of a project? Now you can with the Short Interval Planning (SIP) feature in Autobid Mechanical.
Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Once a takeoff is complete, select Reports and Calculate Summary. Toggle the Save Calculation Details for SIP and hit OK.
Step 2: Return to TakeOff screen and click the Box In tool to select areas of interest. [Note: To make multiple boxes, hold down the Ctrl key.]
Step 3: When all boxes are selected, click within any box. The Box In Options screen below will appear. Select Show SIP Details, select Include/Exclude options and click OK.
Step 4: Once you hit OK within the Box In Options screen, a TakeOff window and SIP screen will appear side-by-side (see below). The selected boxed areas are shown on the left TakeOff screen while all price and labor values will be listed for the boxed in areas in the tabular SIP screen.
That’s Short Interval Planning!
